With a self-directed, peer-to-peer learning model focused on C and C++ programming, Codam provides high-quality education that is accessible to all, without tuition fees.<br \/><br \/><\/p><p>The program emphasizes both technical and interpersonal skills, preparing graduates for successful careers in the tech industry.<\/p><p>Students are expected to follow a set of rules and contribute to Codam&#8217;s mission of fostering collaboration, inclusivity, and professional growth.<br \/><br \/>Codam will conduct annual student satisfaction surveys to measure, advance and implement policy with input from students.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-b2cab84 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"b2cab84\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h5 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">ARTICLE 2 \u2013 ACCESS TO PREMISES<\/h5>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-fc67628 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"fc67628\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Codam is accessible to students 24\/7. When security is absent, students can enter through the revolving doors at the back using their personal card and pin code. The premises are monitored by video security and security surveillance overnight.<br \/><br \/>Each student is issued a personal card with their name and photo, which must be carried at all times and presented upon request. If the card is lost, a replacement can be obtained from the Facility Manager for \u20ac10.<\/p><p><br \/>Access is strictly limited to registered students. External visitors require prior permission from staff.<br \/><br \/>Prohibited in the building: weapons, drugs or alcohol (including intoxication), smoking, and sleeping.<\/p><p><br \/>Student may use outdoor designated smoking areas.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-f059277 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"f059277\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h5 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">ARTICLE 3 \u2013 FIRE AND SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS<\/h5>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-e0cdebd elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"e0cdebd\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Fire safety instructions, including a map of fire extinguishers and emergency exits, are posted throughout Codam. Fire drills will occur periodically to ensure proper evacuation procedures.<\/p><p><br \/>Any accidents or incidents must be immediately reported to the Security Guard and the Facility Manager. If students notice a violation, kindly address it. If uncomfortable, inform a staff member.<\/p><p><br \/>The Staff may intervene and impose consequences, ranging from community service to temporary suspension or exclusion, depending on the severity of the violation.<\/p><p><br \/>Security can support with accidents and injuries. They are also here to keep students safe: students must follow their instructions.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-caade39 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"caade39\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h5 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">ARTICLE 5 \u2013 USE AND MAINTENANCE OF EQUIPMENT<\/h5>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-1d83b36 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"1d83b36\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Students are responsible for maintaining the equipment provided for educational purposes in good condition. Equipment must be used only for its intended purpose and may not be removed from Codam\u2019s premises.<\/p><p><br \/>Any theft from Codam will result in legal and civil action. Voluntary damage to equipment will lead to disciplinary action, and repair costs will be charged to the responsible party.<\/p><p><br \/>Codam is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings\u2014students are advised not to bring valuable personal items to the premises.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-43778f2 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"43778f2\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h5 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">ARTICLE 6 \u2013 INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION<\/h5>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-b2e51fd elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"b2e51fd\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>All communication, both online and offline (e.g., email, Slack), must reflect Codam\u2019s Mindset\u2014be respectful, friendly, and considerate. Codam is neutral in terms of religion and politics, ensuring everyone feels welcome.<\/p><p>When using Codam\u2019s communication channels, students must:<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><ul><li>Use their personal login identifier.<\/li><li>Ensure content complies with Dutch law.<\/li><li>Be mindful of tone; avoid sarcasm or irony to prevent misunderstandings.<\/li><\/ul><p><br \/><em>Prohibited<\/em>:<\/p><ul><li>Commercial, political, or religious promotion.<\/li><li>Defamatory, slanderous, or misleading communication.<\/li><\/ul><p><br \/>Staff can remove content, publications or posters, and halt publications, without affecting any legal actions that may be taken.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-f677b60 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"f677b60\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h5 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">ARTICLE 7 \u2013 MAIL<\/h5>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-e573c74 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"e573c74\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Students can communicate with each other and staff through email or Slack using their personal login identifiers.<\/p><p>When using these platforms, students must adhere to Codam\u2019s guidelines for respectful and professional communication, as outlined in the Code of Conduct.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-8cabaf3 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"8cabaf3\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h5 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">ARTICLE 8 \u2013 INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND COPYRIGHT<\/h5>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-24b35e9 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"24b35e9\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Codam reserves the right to promote student projects created during their studies to showcase the community\u2019s achievements. However, all source code and related work developed by students remain their exclusive property. Codam does not claim ownership over student work or any companies founded during their studies, nor is it liable for them.<br \/><br \/><\/p><p>It is prohibited to share confidential or sensitive information from Codam or 42 without prior approval. This includes the Codam or 42 logo, documents, educational content, and data related to students, staff, or partners.<\/p><p><br \/>Disseminating confidential information can harm Codam\u2019s, 42 or its partners\u2019 interests and is considered serious misconduct. This includes breaches of data privacy or processes involving students, staff, and partners. Fraudulent software use, hacking, or computer piracy will be subject to criminal penalties.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-7f87f3a elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"7f87f3a\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h5 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">ARTICLE 9 \u2013 PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE<\/h5>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-238106f elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"238106f\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>During the studies, students must complete a professional experience to graduate. Codam offers two paths:<br \/><br \/><\/p><ul><li><strong>Employment:<\/strong>\u00a0Students can work as an intern or full-time employee under an Internship, Fixed-Term, or Open-Ended contract. The project must last 4-6 months, focus on programming, and meet certain remuneration requirements.<br \/><br \/><\/li><li><strong>Startup Internship:<\/strong>\u00a0Students can establish their own tech startup with a 6-month full-time project, meeting specific criteria, including previous experience, team size, and an approved innovative business idea.<br \/><br \/><\/li><\/ul><p>Throughout the professional experience, students must maintain communication with Codam and adhere to the rules of the company they intern or work at.<\/p><p><br \/>The student can come back to the Codam during their professional experience, to follow courses specifically demanded by the program or participate in meetings.<\/p><p><br \/>The student embodies the image of Codam and commits to respect for the duration of the professional experience the rules of the company they intern or work at, and to behave in exemplary fashion.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-3bb829f elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"3bb829f\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h5 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">ARTICLE 10 \u2013 LEGAL RESIDENCY<\/h5>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-26550c5 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"26550c5\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Each student must be legally permitted to reside in the Netherlands for at least 365 consecutive days.<\/p><p><br \/>For students requiring a residence permit, valid documentation must be provided to the administration.<\/p><p><br \/>This ensures compliance with local regulations and allows participation in Codam\u2019s full-time program, including a professional experience.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-da13b07 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"da13b07\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h5 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">ARTICLE 11 \u2013 VIDEO SURVEILLANCE<\/h5>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-910270e elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"910270e\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Codam premises is monitored by CCTV. According to the law, recordings are automatically deleted after four weeks unless a security incident occurs. In such cases, the footage may be retained for investigation purposes.<br \/><br \/><\/p><p>Students have the right to request access to or removal of personal data in accordance with applicable regulations.<br \/><br \/><\/p><p>The recorded images of this system will never be used for surveillance of staff or students, or for monitoring working times.<br \/><br \/><\/p><p>The legal basis in this case is the legitimate interest of Stichting Codam (article 6.1.f of the European regulation on data protection).<br \/><br \/><\/p><ul><li><strong>Data Controller:<\/strong>\u00a0Stichting Codam is the controller of the processing of images coming from the video surveillance system. Having its registered office at Kattenburgerstraat 7, 1018 JA Amsterdam.<\/li><li><strong>Data and categories of persons concerned:<\/strong>\u00a0The employees and Students of Codam are filmed by the system. Casual visitors of Codam can also be recorded.<\/li><li><strong>Recipients:<\/strong>\u00a0The images can be screened, in case of incident, by the designated staff of Stichting Codam, that is, the Facilty Manager, IT Manager and General Management.<\/li><li><strong>Individual rights:<\/strong>\u00a0Students can access the data that concerns the student or ask for their erasure.
